Groundbreaking Results from Bertoua
The ZTF Research Center, located in Koume, Bertoua, Cameroon, has published new findings demonstrating the significant chemopreventive potential of selected Cameroonian medicinal plants against breast and prostate cancer cell lines.
The Research
Under the direction of Prof. Dieudonné Njamen, the research team has been systematically investigating phytochemicals isolated from tropical medicinal plants traditionally used in Cameroonian ethnomedicine. The latest results, published in Cancer Prevention Research, show dose-dependent inhibition of hormone-dependent cancer cell proliferation.
From Lab to Product
These findings have directly informed the development of Tumoprep, the Research Center's chemopreventive formulation now available at Hope Clinic in Koume. This exemplifies the Research Center's mission of translating Prof. ZTF's foundational research into real-world health solutions.
